Description
Sodium sulphide monohydrate - colourless, deliquescent crystalline masses.
Sodium sulphide anhydrous - white powder or small crystal.
General Sodium sulphide monohydrate - colorless, deliquescent crystalline masses which become yellow or
grey on storage. Reaction with acids liberates hydrogen sulphide. Small lumps are liable to
spontaneous heating on exposure to air.
Sodium sulphide anhydrous - white powder or small crystals. Stable, soluble in water, forming an
alkaline solution.
